A valid Home Depot account must be created to purchase a Gift Card, or to check your Gift Card balance, reload value, or redeem your Gift Card at www.homedepot.com/GiftCards. Not redeemable for cash unless required by law, where redemption can be made at your local store. If Gift Card is lost or stolen, present proof of purchase at any store and we will issue a replacement with the value of the Gift Card when it was reported lost or stolen (Gift Cards purchased with cash will not be replaced unless required by law). Gift Cards cannot be resold, exchanged or transferred for value. Any possession or removal of a Gift Card from a Home Depot store before proper activation constitutes possession of an unauthorized access device which (i) violates applicable laws and is prohibited by these Gift Cards Terms and Conditions, and (ii) may result in us canceling the Gift Card, invalidating any transactions purchased with the Gift Card, and retaining funds associated with the GiftCard. You are not authorized to obtain any Gift Card information unless you are the legal cardholder, and any use of bots, crawlers, scripts or other automated means to check Gift Card balances, access data or collect content is prohibited. Returns of purchases made with Gift Cards or Store Credits are subject to our Returns Policy (available in our stores and online) and will be refunded as a Store Credit. Gift Cards and Store Credits are not credit/debit cards and are not redeemable for cash or credit unless required by law, where redemption can be made at your local store. Gift Cards and Store Credits cannot be applied to credit or loan balances, Rental Center deposits, or for in-home sales. GiftCards and Store Credits may be deactivated or rejected if fraud is suspected(in our sole discretion).

Never give your gift card number to anyone over the phone. Law enforcement authorities or the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will never ask you to pay for anything using gift cards; if you get this type of request, it is a scam.
